K. Nicole Camene

I create artwork through sculptural, painting and printmaking techniques. Building sculptures allows me to be playful and explore my subjects from every angle while painting and printmaking engage a more technical and structured part of my brain. I create three-dimensional works with paper, found objects, clay, cardboard, wood, wire, and fibers. Acrylic and aerosol paint are the ways I apply color onto forms, canvas, or paper. I often use bright colors to sensationalize my creations from the natural world, so they blend into and reflect my own urban environment.
